About Us
Jefferson Elementary School offers a student centered learning environment in which all students find success. We pride ourselves on our family atmosphere. When you join our school community, you become a part of our family. We have many exciting opportunities for students to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. All of our classrooms integrate technology into instruction through the use of SMART Boards, Chromebooks and iPads. Instruction is differentiated to meet the needs of each individual student. We meet your student where they are and, through individualized instruction, guide their learning to the next level. Students often work in collaborative groups and learn valuable lessons about working together to solve a problem or achieve a common goal.
At Jefferson Elementary, we support the social emotional growth of our students through a strong PBIS program. Students learn to make responsible choices and treat one another with respect. Some highlights of our PBIS program include our Bi-weekly PBIS clubs where students engage in an activity of their choice with other Jefferson students from varying grade levels and our peer mentor program through which 5th grade students provide guidance and mentorship to younger students.
We have an amazing parent group called JAG (Jefferson Action Group) that provides several extracurricular events for students throughout the year. Events from years past have included an Art and Creative Writing Fair, Diversity Days, Daddy-Daughter and Mother-Son events, and Family Game Night. In addition, each year we hold a “World Class” Field Day as a culmination to the school year.
